As part of the ongoing MULTIPLY Research and Training activites, we are happy to officially announce the confirmed list of speakers for the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies, “Complexity in Nonlinear Photonics”, to be held in the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies, Villa del Grumello, Como, Italy, September 25-29, 2017.
The school is being organized by the MULTIPLY partners, University of Brescia, Italy, Novosibirsk State University, Russia, and the MULTIPLY co-ordinator, Aston University, UK.
The school will bring together experts in emerging photonic technologies and fundamental physics to share with young researchers their knowledge and interdisciplinary approaches for understanding and designing complex photonic systems.
Apart from technical talks, the workshop will also feature talks on developing complementary skills. Speakers will include
- Mr. Paul Knobbs, European Funding Manager, Aston University – “Horizon 2020 and Proposal writing – tips and tricks“,
- Dr. Ekaterina Golovchenko, IPG Photonics USA – “Photonics Product development – from the drawing board to the marketplace“,
- Prof. Ljupco Hadzievski, University of Belgrade, Serbia – “Photonic Entrepreneurship“, and
- Mrs. Rachel Won, Nature Photonics UK – “Publishing in Nature Photonics“.
